When speaking about technology and all developments and updates in our world, Singapore should always be considered in the conversation. This is due to the fact that it is a country that is well-developed and possess a wide range of technologies in commercial use. However, with the many technologies and the different fields available in the country, many people argue on what is more interesting and worth looking it.
Recently a report was released including the top jobs in-demand in Singapore according to the technology field. The reports has shown that cyber security is one of the most wanted positions in 2019 in Singapore. This is due to the fact that the country is turning digital, trying to move all the governmental information to digital copies. Hence, this introduces the concept of big data, which basically will control our world soon enough.
Cyber security is a huge umbrella that holds many different topics and positions under it including, security analysts, technology risk managers, data scientists, project managers and software developers. This would mean that people who land jobs in these positions can expect salaries ranging from S$90,000 to S$150,000 annually.
This report was conducted by Robert Half in his annual review called Robert Half Salary Guide. The managing director of Robert Half Singapore, Mr. Matthieu Imbert-Bouchard commented on the report and results saying, “The growing disconnect between the jobs required and the skills available means IT employers need to focus on becoming more responsive to economic and digital transformation.”
