The healthcare field in United Arab Emirates is in no doubt very well-developed and shining to the world. This is the case specially in Dubai which is one of the most developed cities in UAE and the world. An important certificate that needs to be handed to each and every healthcare facility in the country is the their Continuing Medical Education (CME), Continuing Education (CE), and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) which are proofs that the facility is delivering up to date healthcare initiatives.
One of the leading companies in the healthcare sectors in UAE called Wolters Kluwer has created a new means to control the status of the three certificates through a mobile app. The app known as UpToDate® which is also available as a website version will help facilities to apply, renew and check the status of these certificates. Furthermore they will still be able to be educated through resources over the app making the whole process much simpler and reachable.
This was commented on by the MEA Country Manager of Wolters Kluwer, Alaa Darwish who said the following: “It is a welcoming development for medical professionals in the region to be able to redeem CME, CE, and CPD credits on the go using a smartphone or tablet. It gives clinicians back valuable time to spend with their patients, which is in line with our commitment to reducing the variability that stands in the way of effective care by reinforcing the latest evidence to improve patient outcomes.”
