With Singapore being the leading country in the world in technology two of its tech universities has been classified on the top facilities in the world.
According to the released reports, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and National University of Singapore (NUS) are now among the top facilities in Asia as a whole with their global ranking increasing greatly. This ranking is set by governments and different bodies which are associated with the investments in such education facilities. This was the ranking provided by the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings which showed NTU rising by one position and NUS being in the same rank as the 11th in the whole world. Other universities in Singapore like The Singapore Management University (SMU) was able to rise a total of 33 positions during this year’s ranking; compared to the previous years. climbed to 477th position from 500th last year.
This was commented on by different spokesman of both universities by saying the following: “The Prolonged appearances among the global top 20 have ensured that Singapore’s leading universities have earned the right to classify themselves among the world’s leading universities, according to our methodology and data set. We are honored that many academics and employers around the world continue to regard NUS as among the best in Asia and globally. The remarkable global standing of our local universities attests to the quality of Singapore’s higher education system.”
